If you are ever into folk music, Ryuichi Sakomoto’s Chinsagu No Hana has probably got to be the best rendition of the Ryukyuan song. Elizabeth Drake’s cover of the song, heard in the soundtrack of Japanese Story, a chillingly sad tale of love and grief set in Australia, can be considered a close second, but feels much too modern for it to be believed as a folk song.

Last night, I did some rather shameful facebook work that I’m sure many others are guilty of. I checked up on my ex-boyfriend, most specifically on his current relationship status. The thing is, I have almost no idea why I did this.

Joey: so far, it has got to be the most difficult game ive ever played for the console
Harry: What's it like
Joey: it's like any normal SORPG, you make your character, get into a dungeon and see hints and ghosts of other people's characters walking around
Joey: you see how they die, how they react to certain situations
Joey: so you're up and ready right, got your shield and sword
Joey: you attack and dodge and parry and riposte
Joey: but you realize, you're a soul and you only have half of your life
Joey: so you kinda have to constantly heal yourself after every meeting you have with the undead and random soldiers
Joey: you get so far, about half an hour into the game
Joey: you meet with a fucking knight who takes away two-thirds of your life with one unpredictable stab
Joey: but you manage to kill him
Joey: and you realize that youre out of healing potions
Joey: HAH, you then get into the next room
Joey: and meet up with this gigantic demon
Joey: about 20 times your size
Joey: and you have a fucking shield and sword
Joey: the demon raises its arms and takes a swipe while you hopelessly try to dodge it
Joey: but because of your miscalculation of the length of its arm and the distance between you and it
Joey: you get hit and youre dead
Joey: after one swipe
Joey: so you think, ok, lets try that again
Joey: but you restart
Joey: at the beginning of the fucking level
Joey: what the shit
Joey: WITH 0 MONEY (souls)
Joey: ALL THAT MONEY YOU ACCUMULATED DROPPED AT WHERE YOU DIED
Joey: AND YOURE STILL OUT OF GODDAMN HEALING POTIONS
Joey: SHIT
